Support Workers for Mark
Mark needs a full team of support workers. He is moving into his own home, hopefully in August and he wants people to work with him now, as part of his transition from Midpark hospital.

Fantastic opportunity to work with Mark and be part of his new support team. Beyond Limits Dumfries and Galloway works with people differently and so we are looking for a different type of support worker. We are truly person-centred, providing support to people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health difficulties in their own homes. Mark will be moving into his own home from Midpark hospital in August and he is starting his recruitment now. He has autism and a learning disability and he wants you to know he has no verbal communication. He is a lively young man who can be impulsive, he responds well to structured environments and he loves wildlife and nature. When chilling out he likes Netflix and he is a big fan of spicy food.

You will have the opportunity to do your best work here, to really get to know Mark and understand how to support him to achieve his potential. Your sole focus will be Mark, you will work with him in his new home, supporting him to do the things he loves and exploring new opportunities with him.
Ideally you will:
- Be looking to work in a person-centred way
- Have an understanding of autism
- Be kind and caring
- Have good communication skills
- Work well as part of a bespoke team
- Have a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Have similar interests to Mark
- Be committed to the values of inclusion
A PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) Check will be requested in the event of the individual being offered a position with Beyond Limits Dumfries and Galloway , the cost of which will be to the employee, however, this will be returned after successful completion of probation period (6 months)
